Hi,
It is pleasing to be one of the first Haemophiliac's to be able to write in this new HFNZ blog.
I am taking my last interferon injection tomorrow. Man what a long hard road it's been, but it sure is a good feelin' to know this is the end. By all accounts the treatment has been very successful and all the signs are good, but as always there is no guarantee. I've had great support from my wife, nurse and doctor.I got quite depressed from continually being sick, so they put me on aropax, but I stopped taking them after 3 weeks as they were making more even more sick .
I am finding the Hep C compensation deal confusing and stressful with all the conflicting information, I come via involvement with Penny Patel Law, and have not been too happy with the dictatorship of their last few newsletters.
There is another haemophiliac in my area who has been offered the full amount of compensation, he had not had any involvement through the lawyers.
Pete.
